Family Guy movie gets release date

After quite a longish wait and an abundance of email, Fox has spilt the beans on the impending "Family Guy" movie.

According to VB, the feature-length take on the resurrected cartoon treat will be in stores September 27th.

Creator Seth MacFarlane's 83-minute "unrated" movie, "Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story!", sees fan-fave Stewie setting off to find his real dad after encountering a near death experience.

The DVD also will include commentary, deleted scenes and other bonus features.

"It seems today That all you see Is violence in movies And sex on TV. But where are those good old fashioned values..."

I would've rather had a movie revolving around the family and being released into theatres rather than a film based on Stewie and coming out straight to DVD.

  2. I'm sure it will revolve around the family as well. They'll no doubt either be searching for him, or doing something else not noticing his absense like in his birthday episode.

Still, coming straigght to DVD leads me to believe it's going to suck ass.

  3. A 2 hour episode of Family Guy? No thanks.

well seeing the main reasion the show came back was because of outstanding DVD sales...

Movie Earnings $10 per ticket but they dont see all of it

DVD: $20 and they see most of it, and thats per person :X

It will have the same amount of jokes the usual episodes have, just each one will waste more time.

What are you, some kind of idiot?

They could release it in theatres then release it on DVD if it was really good, just like any normal movie. Disnsey send they're shit sequals straight to DVD for a good reason, they suck balls. I'm sure this is no different. If it was a good movie it would go to theatres so it could make theatre money then it would go to DVD and make more.

  8. I <3 Futurama.

They should make a Futurama movie instead of a Simpsons movie. Then they should release it in theatres, since it won't suck.

You can't make a Futurama quote without my radar going off.

  10. Well, it should be funny, although I don't think Stewie's strong enough to carry a flick. Actually, I don't think Family Guy is strong enough for that. They're really blowing their load on this too. The Simpsons still hasn't had a movie done on it, thank goodness, and that TV family has been on TV for nearly 20 years.
