I fail to see what people see in Skies of Arcadia. I enjoyed Grandia 2 much more.
Maybe it took me more than 45 hours... I can't remember...
I know I didn't get all the crew and discoveries, though.
Grandia 2 was great, but Skies had better characters, much more emotion, and an amazing story.Originally posted by Zorro

Grandia 2 just seemed too cliché to me. I felt like I was playing part one with better graphics. Granted, the battle engine was amazing, but it just seemed lacking.
Skies on the other hand, had an original concept, a godly soundtrack, and an excellent story. It was also twice as long as Grandia 2.
I own and have beaten both, but my heart is with Skies.
Must resist... Grandia rant...
Such garbage.
I fail to see what people see in Grandia 2. Lack of replayability, lame graphics, easy-as-hell difficulty(hello Mr. Save Cone), crappy ending, and that one grisly scene....blech. It may have an improved battle system, but that's all it has.Originally posted by Zorro

Death never looked so good.
who hasn't played a game better than Grandia 2?
now then, call that game X.

both games get a solid "pretty good, I suppose" from me.
I played through both Skies and Grandia 2 at the same time (switched between games every week) and I can honestly say I enjoyed Skies a lot more than Grandia 2. The only thing Grandia 2 had over Skies was it's battle system. Other than that, Skies was a better game in my opinion.

I highly enjoyed both Grandia games, and Skies of Arcadia. If you did'nt like SOA or Grandia, oh well. They are both solid RPG's with different positive points, and negative. I'd recommend both, to anyone who likes RPG's and has a Dreamcast.
Same, though I'll add that, aside from its battle system (which was fantastic), Grandia II is Skies' bitch.Originally posted by Melf
