Yeah I know this game ain't everquest or wow, but jesus why can't people get a clue and realise that you can't "live" in this game?

What I also hate are those groups that say they'll get you someplace, but for a small fee. Those nubs need to go.

I *LOVED* Diablo 1 and played it all the time and this feels a lot like it. With the towns taking the place of the chat rooms. Are some districts more "inclined" to be for trade/grouping/etc.?

I've had the same problem off an on. Always make sure you are in American District 1 first. If no one is there due to time or what-not, try International District 1. Watch out for Korean cooties though.

So far:

+very great graphics, and great technology
+lots of skills for lots of options
+very good enemy AI, probably thanks to the instancing, its way better than any MMO I've played.
-hard to find a group
-need more TNLers on.
-armor system seems somewhat daunting.

I agree with all of these, though I am not grasping what you mean by the armor system line. Are you talking about gathering the materials to upgrade?

On a positive note, I completed my Protector of Tyria title last night, beating all 25 missions and bonuses for the storyline. I'm interested in unlocking the rest of the map now (somehow I am only at ~55%), so if any lower level chars need a hand, let me know. I'll do your mission and try to uncover my map.

I'm ready for my copy of Factions tomorrow.

This guild needs some work. We need more niggas, and some ts/vent (which Nick is working on). Coming from WoW which always had people on and shit it is weak to be the only guild person on at 8:30pm.

I want us to ahve at least an arranged arena team going.

Yes. We're missing out on a lot of draw of GW without participating in the team arena. I'm game. My brother and I were trying to find a pick-up pair to fight with last night, but the monk we found sucked, and we got stomped.

Funny thing, this guy wanted to buy 28 fragments for 280gp (10 apiece). I pm'd him and told him I would sell him 10 for 200. He was like HELL NO. Then I told him the vendor was buying them for 19gp apiece, I didn't read his name in the text box again.

I'm thinking of getting this game, and I'm just wondering if there is anything amazingly stupid I should know about before I start playing. I am just going to get the original, since buying Factions alone seems retarded unless you have gone through quite a bit of the original content.

So hopefully I will be on and need in some schooling and/or twinking in a couple of days.

Certain classes use certain materials for their armor. My Mesmer stuff was heavy on cloth and leather for instance.
