Fatal Frame 3

Ok, I just watched the trailer for Fatal Frame 3 at www.gametrailers.com .

Now, Fatal Frame is my favorite franchise of this generation, so I'm biased but OMG OMG OMG it looks awesome.

The trailer started off by showing a new character (and her cleavage) in a pretty familiar looking location. It either is the same house from Fatal Frame 1, or a really similar location. I was kind of disappointed at first, because the first 2 games already had extremely similar settings, and with little to no graphical upgrade this looked like more of the same.

Then, some freaky shit started happening, which made me jump a few times. It also showed a girl who looks a LOT like Miku (or whatever her name was) from the first game. Probably was her.

The trailer gets really interesting about 2 thirds of the way through, because the setting completely changes, and it looks like it ties in very heavily to the first game.

The trailer definitely made me jump a few times.

Not only that, but it will be released in Japan on July 28th and you can get a limited edition version of the game which has a "History of Project Zero" DVD with it.





Can't fucking wait!!!


P.S. I hope they don't wait too fucking long to put it on Xbox this time. Tecmo loves Xbox, so I don't know why the hell they do this with the Fatal Frame franchise.

I finished both Fatal Frame games on the xbox and despite the poor graphics (they are not horrible but the textures are plain and the screen has that blur that annoys me sometimes) and slow gameplay I liked them alot. Its too bad this one is done on the ps2 as the graphics look pretty much the same.. this should have been saved for next gen stuff so they can really put in some frightening visuals.

I'll certainly play this though.

I tryed to play Fatal Frame 2 on Xbox, but I just couldn't get into it. The gameplay was way too slow for my tastes personally, hopefully 3 will make things a little more exciting for me.

I love this series. I think its the best survival horror out there. The graphics are decent and the pacing is perfect for this kind of game. If you aren't into the Japanese horror movie formula this game probably won't click. I am really looking forward to this new insallment. I watched the trailer in Akihabara a few weeks ago and saw there will be a tie -in with the first fatal frame (Mafuyu.) Can't wait!

If you watch the current trailer that's on Gametrailers, I think you'll see that there is a LOT of connection to the first one.

And it looks like the US release of Fatal Frame 3: The Tormented will be on November 20th.

I played the second one all the way through. I am tired of these survival horror games where it takes 8 sconds to get into the next room. If there's a ton of small rooms, you're spending way too much time looking at a stupid animation.

I <3 Fatal Frame 2. I <3 survival horror. Thus, I am greatly expecting FF3.
