Thread: Itagaki comments on X360.

  1. He says they may have issues working with all processors... but using the Cell's 7 threads or whaever they are called will be harder, so Xbox 360 once again is easier to program for.

kinda my deal too, hurricane pack was nice especially since it was free, NG was a love/hate thing for me, but the free upgrade was just cool., and his interviews never dissapoint, now if he would just announce that bleeding rygar sequel so that we can have a proper rygar game on the x-box.

  4. no, the original was not, but there have been a lot of rumors that he wanted to work on a rygar sequel. he didnt think the ps2 version was as good. according to the altest game informer(the gun one) there is supposed to be an announcement on it sometime soon. i loved the old nes one and the arcade version, so im all for it, never got around to the ps2 one, but it dosent get much love around here, the enemies are too spares and some such. when you think of it, a game that played like god of war would make a really good rygar game.

  5. Rygar with Ninja Gaiden level of polish = OMFG.

The Rygar remake was like the world's most perfect beer that someone had to water down until you can barely taste it. The mechanics are perfect, the atmosphere, the graphics... but it's so thin and so sparse and so short that in the end it's a disappointment.

I have looked for proof of MD Ninja Gaiden's release but haven't found anything. I don't think it came out. As far as Sega Ninja Gaiden games go I think both the GG and SMS games are better, based on that rom anyway.

It just felt like it was pushed out the door before it was ready. I mean, the artwork, graphics, music, play mechanics, they're all absolutely brilliant. But you've got like 20 different combos, and only 6-10 enemies to use them on. The game's only about 6 hours long, too. I think whoever was producing it needed an Itagaki type backbone with management.

Oh yeah, I forgot about those. When you say they're better, please tell me you don't mean compared to the Xbox version.

Nah, I meant compared to the Mega Drive version.

  9. I liked Rygar for PS2, but just thought it was too short and repetative. I laughed at how much it ripped off from Capcom though I'd gladly play a sequel, and might as well go right to the 360 now. I guess that's narrow minded of me since not everyone will have one, but the way I see it, if the technology is out, use it...

I think he's all talk and no show. Ninja Gaiden was the only decent game he's ever made.
