Thread: Howl's Moving Castle

  1. Dreamcast Howl's Moving Castle

Hayao Miyazaki's latest, Hauru no ugoku shiro (Howl's Moving Castle), is in limited release. I'm pondering going this afternoon. Thoughts?

  2. It's still playing in San Diego. I gotta check it out.

  3. Saw it a little more than a week ago here in NY. It's a great film, but the ending felt a little rushed. Still though, good times, pretty standard Miyazaki excellence.

  4. Its worth the admission just to watch the opening shot of the castle walking out of the mist.

  5. I have to say, I really like the way they handled the use of computers in the animation in this film. It was tasteful and effective and didn't look like a cheap shortcut the way it usually does, because it integrated so many hand drawn elements.

  6. Great movie though the ending was just bad.

  7. I just saw that this is finally in my area. Now all I have to do is find someone that actually wants to see it. I really don't wanna go to the theatre all by mysellf.

The Triplets of Belleville is another animated movie that does that incredibly well.

  9. Ok, now we already have a thread dedicated to this that's still on the front page of Max Anime.

    Why the duplicate?
