Its the next film from the team that made Dog Soliders, and I am definately looking forward this, since other film was fun and creative werewolves venture. Plus its gonna be rater R, unlike pussied out US monsters in the cave gem The Cave.

If you need to see a creature horror, you might consider The Descent. 6 young women go potholing in the US (though it's actually filmed in the UK) where they encounter unfriendly creatures.
It's got false scares (like "Turn around shit it's a monster, no it's just one of the other girls" and brief "Shit I'm dead no wake up it's just a dream" moments) and a broken up ending but in spite of that there's great satisfaction to be had seeing the girls fleeing and fighting in darkness and confined spaces. And there's tension.
Will it be shown outside of the UK and Ireland? Probably, eventually. If it appears near you then it would be best to take the opportunity to see it in a theatre.

I downloaded it and watched it. I enjoyed it and I'l probably pick up the DVD.

Saw The Descent last weekend, and even though I really don't like horror films (we were supposed to go see Little Miss Sunshine, but missed it by ten minutes), I really enjoyed this one. The acting was pretty solid, the film had some cool moments, and I left the theater with a headache cause I was so tense through out.
In any case, liked the movie enough that I didn't feel ripped off for having paid full price.
I heard that the North American version got an edited ending from the European version, so gonna have to look around to see if I can find out what the difference was.
It's funny that you bumped this thread today, 'cause I just saw this last night.
Anyway, it was a really, really good movie. Very brutal and bloody. It was even pretty tense in parts, I guess. I think the most messed up parts were the claustrophobic scenes when they're crawling through tiny, tiny little tunnels because that shit freaks me out.
The only thing I didn't like was at the end when Sarah hit Juno (played by the super-hot Natalie Mendoza) in the leg with the pick axe and left her to die because she found out she had accidently killed her other friend and had been sleeping with her husband. I mean, killing the friend was a total accident and the husband thing...I mean, he cheated on her too, Juno didn't do it all by herself. I mean, Juno was a good girl, she was refusing to leave without Sarah and this is how she repays her. Ah, fuck it, I'm defending her because she was really, really hot.
Also, wtf was up with the random shots of the birthday cake?
Whatever, The Descent = good flick.
