Looks great...add another to the long DS to-buy list.
That to me seems like how Dig Dug should be played. Looks great.
And if you have never played Dig Dug II, the concept was that you had a jack-hammer and had to break apart the island you were on. You would break off chunks of land, and they would sink, and kill whatever enemys were on that chunk. You had to make sure whatever you were chopping off was smaller than what you were on, other wise you would sink and die. Its quite fun.
So take that on the surface, plus having to go underground, sounds like fun to me.
Barf! Barf! Barf!

Looks awesome. I can't believe it took this long for a good Dig Dug or Mr. Do clone or sequel. (Dig Dug 2 and the Neo Mr. Dos left something to be desired.)
No gnus is good gnus.
It looks like it's the same character design from Mr.Driller Drill Spirts.Originally Posted by Dylan1CC
I like it. (I original typed, "I can dig it." but then realized the lame pun that would have been made. Who wants to sound like their writing for GamePro here?)

Holy shit! After reading the preview from IGN this game sounds great!
That's pretty cool. By the way, Susumu Hori is Mr. Driller, and yes, the Dig Dug guy is the father of Mr. Driller.Originally Posted by IGN.com

I used to play Dig Dug II all the time on MAME, I loved sinking the islands, the touch screen 'n stylus are MADE for that game, this indeed gonna be sweet.
Except that, according to the IGN preview, the game won't use the touch screen/stylus, just the two screens.Originally Posted by Dylan1CC
