Thread: Nintendo DS' first emulators

  1. Nintendo DS' first emulators

Today redddie let us know of Nester DS (NES Emulator for the Dual-Screen)and SNES DS (SNES Emulator for the Dual-Screen)... both are still in early development, but are indeed excellent works in progress for NDS owners. Please post all related feedback on them in THIS Forum thread. In related news, DarkFader has recently released NDS Tool v1.21, a NDS ROM Tool for Windows- cool stuff!

  2. This might save me money on a PSP.
    All is well.

  3. How would you load the emulator onto the DS? Is it like the GBA that had blank carts and crap that you would download the data to?

Probably. If they get SNES, Genesis, or N64 (possible?) running smoothly, I'm sold.

    Hah, don't count on N64

I think they're able to transfer the emus to the DS via the wireless connection. Only problem with that is that you've gotta reload it every time you restart your DS.

If you load up a few roms before work, that's fine with me. Hmm.. Time to look into this.

I have no idea. They're still in the process of making it I guess. When I find more info, I'll be sure to post.

  9. To run anything unofficial on a DS you need:

GBA flash cart and either a pass-through device or a DS compatible wifi card (only ones using certain ralink chipsets work).
