I don't know about the "No side effects" but it's still a step in the right direction...

  3. i always wonder about sites like that. I mean, if there actually is a drug that can completely stop HIV cells from reproducing and halt the effects of HIV then shouldnt it be world news? Why isn't this the top story on every major network? I hope it's true but i'll believe it when i see it in from a reputable source.

  4. Yay! Now all we need is a cure for the herpe, and a sure fire 100% anti-pregnancy drug!

Promiscuous condom-free sex here I come!!

I agree. they've tested it on "40" US citizens... it may just be that every news company doesn't want to risk going on something that could be mere dumb luck.

  6. The topic is misleading - twenty years ago getting HIV was a death sentence, straight up. Nowadays people who get HIV and receive proper treatment can actually live fairly normal lives for a long time. How long has Magic Johnson had HIV? We've made tremendous progress even if we haven't cracked the nut yet.

Yea... the problem is that there have been so many breakthroughs over the past two decades but so few have actually panned out the way the initial reports promised.

Ah, I was unaware of this honestly, I don't know anything about our advances against aids, and the way they teach it in High school it still sounds like we're entirely powerless against it.

I changed the title for yah.

Proper treatment depends on how much money you have. Johnson, who is rich as fuck, is not a good example.

  9. The treatments exist, nonetheless. If this ever hits prime time (pardon the pun, I guess) it'd be expensive as fuck too.

  10. This is good news, but this drug is of no use, or rather, will have minimal effects to a subject that's already infected. It only stops the virus from infecting other cells.

At least we have prevention from being infected, that's one step ahead.
