That's exactly what I'm talking about. It's like Microsoft is pushing Live support only, when the games can and should support system link. Split screen would require too many sacrifices, I imagine, but that doesn't matter with LAN.
Like I said, I don't understand the tech involved, so perhaps there's a very good reason for it....but I dunno...
