I'd love dual stick setup. Even 4 still felt a little clunky with the stop-to-shoot system in place.

Dual analogue setup + Dead Rising levels of enemy density + smarter, more aggresive AI = HOLY FUCK

I don't know about the rest of you, but after Code Veronica Resident Evil stopped feeling like Resident Evil. I was just watching some gameplay for Resident Evil 5 and it just looks like a slower paced Gears of War without the ducking for cover. And they way the zombies came out reminded me alot of House of the Dead. I'd rather play Resident Evil that was a mix between Dead Rising and the old RE games...
Resident Evil 4 was the best game last gen. I'm glad it's nothing like Dead Rising and the old RE games.

Not saying that the series as it is now isn't fun what I'm saying is it's not Resident Evil. When I said a cross between I mean that you have zombies that are that abundant and behave like the do in that game. Hell if they evolved the series where it reminiscent of Devil May Cry, with the scare tactics of the original RE games with the zombies of Dead Rising.
Yeah, Resident Evil 4 is more of an action-horror game than a survival horror game. You're given all the weapons you need to massacre all the zombies, rather than running away and saving your ammo for when you get cornered. I really like it, but it definitely is a dramatic departure from the previous titles.
