And dont forget to shoot that beam backwards to that skull statue to open up those two loot doors with gold and stuff in them. Watch out for snakes in the pots though. For some reason the ONLY time Ive jumped and gotten startled in this game are at the damn snakes in the pots, they get me every time.

On another note, those Shaka-Zulu giant witch-doctor zombies with the skull clubs are no joke. The first two I came across in the village, I had to rocket launch. The next two I grenade launched (basically unloaded a whole "clip") and prox.mined + multi-pronged grenade/incendiary attacked + got super lucky respectively.
Is there an easier, "sneaky" way to beat these guys for those times when I dont have tons of explosive ammo on me?

  2. Beat it with ElCap, great game, ending was meh

Got my handgun maxed up with infinite ammo and am going through on vet now. Awesome game.

Yes, shoot them in the leg then give them a uppercut.

  4. This goes for every "Big Bad" in the game.

  5. Yea, you have to memorize all the enemies stagger animations. You'll shoot them and they go back and bit but they are not really staggered and you can't punch 'em so make sure you know their specific animations especially for those big ass Shaka Zulu chiefs and those big fat Abdullah the Butcher...(wrestling fans know who that is) african dudes.

I'm up to 6-1 now and I think it'll be better the second time around since I'm looking around like a tard for those emblems and treasures. Once thats over I can just go through each level on a higher difficulty, upgrade my stuff and just have fun.

  6. So I've beasting on this and loving it. Co-op doubles the difficulty doesn't it (or close to it)? Looks like it took almost double the shots to down certain bosses than with AI. That f%^&ing giant troll is hard as hell co-op on veteran -- we ended up letting my friend beat it with AI so we could keep moving.

Loving the game and loving item farming 1-1 and 5-1. I've been going online and running through with newbies utilizing my maxed out weapons... Mercs Mode is outrageous -- I don't know how people are getting 400,000+ -- I usually camp with Shiva bow and the enemies just stop spawning in certain points, so I guess I have to be more mobile... most I've gotten so far is around 90,000 points...
"50,000! You scored 50,000 points on Double Dragon?"

  7. What everyone else said.
Thanks to KoF for the directions, felt like a moron when it took me no time at all to pass that after you said something.
Played a bit with Cap today and I have a feeling I'll finish this game tonight. I should take a nap and know that 24 is on tonight but this game really makes me want to say fuck your previous engagements and finish me you asshole. Game is quite fantastic.

Hmm, I dont know. That first time you come across those guys in the village. I did that. A LOT. and they didnt go down.May be a vet thing, because the chainsaw guys take more than a few punches too though...
The lickers on the other hand go down way easy when you get them on their back.

and yeah, the AI still does stupid shit every now and then but seems to make up for it on some of the boss fights.Im less angry with her now then I was previously

  9. Neat and easy way to get exchange points!

Go to chapter 3-1 and take the boat to the upper left corner of the area. There will be a half-sunken boat with a dock. On it, you'll find a rocket launcher on the bow. Take that and quit. Add it to your inventory at the beginning of chapter 6-2 and play through to the big, nasty boss. Let Sheva take the satelite gun thingie and destroy the bulbs that appear. When the center one springs up (you'll know because of a mini cut scene), blast it with the rocket launcher and the whole boss dies in with single shot. You not only get an instant "S" ranking but a bunch of exhange points. Normal difficulty yields 1,500. Go back to chapter 3-2 and get as many rocket launchers as you like by taking it and quitting. Add them to your inventory and wash, rinse, and repeat. People have been saying this works with the infinite rocket launcher, but I've been doing it with the standard one shot deal.

Nice. Im thinking the money thing for upgrading every weapon would be a bit tougher than getting EP, but Im seeing Egg swap tricks with Rotten/Gold eggs on 2-1 to remedy that...
