  1. The last Gargoyles episode was a big disappointment.
I mean, there's so much left undone.

yeah disney is gay like that. Even after finding a loophole aroung the 65 ep thing, they still didn't fenish the show correctly.

    bastards

does it really matter though if the show was funny? Even if you take the jokes out of the show, futuroma still had a lot going for it.

That was one of the first eps.

I also don't see why it needs to be mentioned every time Gargoyles is brought up.

First of all, Disney doesn't even show the episode anymore. That censorship is hardly due to the fact people like you don't like it. It's because one of the characters ends up in a pool of her own blood. That's kinda badass in my opinion.

Second of all, the episode isn't even "anti-guns." The preaching isn't any more overt than that of any of the other episodes, it's just we notice it more because guns are an issue of higher importance. If there is a moral lesson it's only that these things are powerful and should be used with caution. It's not as though Eliza stops carrying her gun. She just takes better care of it in future episodes. She and the other cops on the show are part of the "good guys" roster and all of them carry guns. (Yeah, they hardly get used, but it's a kid’s show.)

Since the Gargoyles are new to the modern world they need to learn these things. It's a recurring motif. The moral lessons of the gun episode are just one of many, and they ran throughout the show, not just at the end. I could see why someone wouldn't like the show because of it, but if it is a problem it's a problem with a ton of the episodes, not just the gun one.

You obviously knew you would ahead of time, considering you said you would be grilled for it.

Well if you are referring to Goliath Chronicles, that show was horrid. A very odd change from the spirit of the original show i thought.

And didnt the early episodes have a show about guns as well? Where Broadway shoots Eliza with her own gun or something?

    I did play it once.

It sucked, naturally. But in an awesome sort of way.

  10. I can't wait for the second season of Gargoyles to hit the DVD shelves.

Though...I wonder how they're going to release 52 episodes. Two seperate sets with 26 eps each would be great...or just one huge set. One or the other.
