Thread: Question about playing N64 imports

  1. Enjoy..

  2. That numbthumb.net is pretty reputable you guys think?

I've never dealt with them before, but they have some pretty good prices on a couple of games I'm looking for.

  3. Well, I only ordered S&P from them and they were friendly... I talked to one of the owners for a while about the site and everything... So I say they can't be too bad... I don't think they are out to scam anyone.

    hmm...

Thanks bro, I'll probably give them a bit o' business later on today then...

  5. By the way, in your humble opinion, how good is Sin and Punishment? I've read nothing but great things about it. What about the 2 player mode? I can't find much info on the 2 player aspect.

  6. It's really good. One of the few games I personally can sit down and play for a while anymore... Great gameplay system (learn and love the sword)... Awesome level design... The control might take some getting used to (or that might just be me because it is the first N64 game I've ever owned) but it is great once you learn it...

Great overall. There is a story in there somewhere but I hae yet to watch all of the cinemas.

I also have yet to figure out 2P. I'm not sure if the option is hidden or whatever... but I have no idea where it is.

By the way, S&P is the only (practically) reason I pursued the N64.

I totally love it, and it's my favorite game from Treasure. I've always liked those move-a-target around games like 'Nam, and S&P adds a twist of platforming elements and an awesome sword attack, which is vital to knowing when to use.

The incredible thing about S&P is that it's almost a completely different game going from Easy (default) => Normal, and eventually Normal => Hard. The bosses do different things and there are different strategies to beating them.

What about the 2 player mode? I can't find much info on the 2 player aspect.
Because it's not really much of a feature... basically, one player controls the crosshairs. The other person controls the actual player.

Oh, that reminds me... the only qualm you may have about the game is the control scheme. It's really awkward and confusing at first, but I recommend just leaving it on default and just getting used to it. Once you do, it'll probably be intuitive. Just a little awkward and overwhelming when you initially play.

It was me 'dyne! Thanks a lot! I haven't been playing it much since I got my PS2, but I'll get back to it someday!

    Thanks again, you're the TOPS!
