  3. Remember the Wayne's World skit set in Melrose Place? "I've just had intercourse with your wife."

"What are you trying to say?"

    Yeah.

Klee put it best when he said the game feels like balette - it's just so freakin smooth - powersliding between 2 cars at what feels like 300 mph just has to be experienced to fully understand why everyone is gushing over it. Not only is the game insanely fast, it manages to play so freakin butter in the process...it's just amazing. I can't express how great it feels to bust out powerslides in this version - it's light years beyond the previous version imo. It's almost as if every other ridge racer was practice for the devs to make this ultimate version - it's THAT good. I can't think of a single problem with it.

I haven't even tried online, I have a feeling my head might explode when I finally do, and when it does - it'll be glorious. I'm counting the days till christmas so I can start it the game from scratch.

I think I'm beginning to sound like isamu...

First, it helps very much if you have experience in "Powersliding, the Ridge Racer Way"....

That first step weeds out alot of pontential players and is probably a big reason why you here a lot of "RR6 sux" and "I liked RR6 better when it was called Ridge Racer Revolution" and whatnot....

Those who "get" RR powersliding will find a game with much more precise and faceted gameplay....this is why, I think, Namco widened the courses to better exploit this newly developed precision.... it allows much more action, positioning and strategy during the straightaway and particularly the corners...the depth of gameplay is very deceptive in this game.....

There is so much precision in this new powerslide engine that in a long, increasing radius turn, I passed 2 cars in one single but controlled fluid motion....first one on the inside and the 2nd one on the outside

As yoda would say, much nuanced gameplay this is....

Fantastic post guys. You guys sound like you've hit the head right on the nail! If only we could convert the guys from *This* thread then all would be right in the world

  6. You're responding to quotes made on another forum by people that aren't here while not adding anything yourself. That's so amazingly useless.

  7. I just want to know what balette is

I'm on to the battles now. GOD I forgot how fustrating this is. But then again its classic RR. I LOVE how the cpu cars boost anytime they feel. But the same thing applies from other RR battles. Keep up till the 3rd lap and try to pass them with a few corners left...

  10. I tried to check this out from work last night, but we were SOLD OUT.

I had to settle for Quake 4 instead.
