If you're so disgusted by the current politicial on-goings then you can work to change it. There's plenty of options, especially in today's world of weblogs and whatever.
Well, that being said, I agree completely. I just don't have a problem with the government, I have a bit of a problem where this culture and society are heading.

I also express my views through music, it may not be worth much, but it's something.

This will probably pass over time. One of the up coming generations will probably think negatively to the things you don't like. Many things cycle through out history.

Possibly, though it seems that humanity goes in a continous cycle, mass advancement, corruption, collapse. Reform is always possible but I believe the Western (which means the rest of the world as well) world is in bad shape.

The world is always in bad shape? I think this is the best it is ever going to get.

I mean look at the things people are complaining about now. A lot of it is meaningless.
If you think about it the world is a much safer, stable place then it has ever been.

Most diseases can be medicated, and in some cases wiped out. Medically the world is better.
Racism has become a joke in the most advanced parts of the world, and even the few places that still tolerate racism are frowned upon. Overall civil rights are better than before.
War has become a far less big thing to worry about. Compared to the past iraq is a fucking joke.

Your cycle of "mass advancement, corruption, collapse" is a good way to view our world. However I fear you think were on the verge of corruption, collapse when looking past at the last 10,20 years we have been mass advancement.

For example the technology used during war, technology that would have been created for a society going through a collapse has now been shifted to advancing and defing our culture. Cellphones are now used by everyone including elementary kids. The internet is now a tool of a buisnessman more than a soilder.

30,40 years from now when were in a great depression and WW4 is breaking loose then I'll say were in a collapse. Until then I'm going to ride this motherfucker out.

Avatar is right. Things are not as bad as we all want to make them out to be. The world has always been fucked up. You really should take english lit 1 and 2. Life has sucked from day one, and people have been writing about it's suckage for forever now.

Satsuki is proof that two different amendments related to voting should have never been passed.
