Thread: Zelda: Twilight Princess delayed

  1. You're all wrong. Some are less wrong than others. But you're all wrong nonetheless.

Not even the best Zelda ever? It totally is. Here's the full breakdown for those curious about the truth:

Wind Waker > Majora's Mask > Link to the Past > Adventure of Link > Zelda > Ocarina of Time

The problem is what each game relies on. It doesn't matter if Zelda rehashes the same mechanics over and over as long as the content changes once in a while, but often, it doesn't. Many of the puzzles were ripped straight out of Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, and since the entire point of a puzzle is supposed to be figuring out how to solve it, a recycled puzzle doesn't work nearly as well as recycled mechanics do.

If Twilight Princess changes game progression and puzzle solutions a bit, it'll be much, much more worthwhile than Wind Waker was.

Are you sure this post is in the right thread? It reads like it belongs in the 360 pricing thread.

Everybody's entitled to their opinion, but come on, OOT, which figures heavily into every "best game ever" discussion, is the worst Zelda!?

Ocarina of Time > A Link to the Past > Minish Cap > The Legend of Zelda > Wind Waker > Oracle of Seasons > Oracle of Ages > Majora's Mask > Prison rape > Zelda II.

Never played Four Swords or Link's Awakening.

You should. It's basically the pinnacle of 2D Zelda design.

Are you serious? It's the best D-pad on the market right now. The only time I thought a d-pad was better, was the remodeled Saturn controllers.
