SHENMUE III MOSTLY FINISHED!!

Unless you understand Japanese, I doubt the English-subbed version will be of much use. Plus, you lose out on the comedically-bad dubbing, which is even funnier than the first's.

Also good is that while Suzuki's off doing his Digital Rex thing, AM2 is still handling this game. The Kikizo story says 360 seems the mostly likely smply because the series is for sale, Xbox had II, and Microsoft is desperate for exclusive Japanese content.

If that is true that it is chapters 1-16 then i'll definatly buy it even tho I've played thought Shenmue 1 and 2. Only thing I probably won't like about doing it again is that tedious asking for the sailors and that fucking forklift job

I had to literally force myself to finish the first this summer, and a lot of that time was spent doing stuff on my computer waiting for time to pass in the game. This does not = a well crafted game. Still, I liked it enough to play the second. Attribute this to my Japan nerdiness, the game's multi-million dollar environments/atmosphere, or just the awkward-but-neat play mechanics.

I think the most important thing is that for those that like it, there is really nothing else like it. So the flaws are overlooked easily enough. This new one could definitely weigh heavily on which new system I eventually buy.

I hated almost everything about Shenmue. Part 2 was a little better, but I never played much into it, on DC or Xbox.

Even though I don't really like Shenmue, (I can't stand the marketing and hype created for Shenmue) I have a soft spot for it.

I'd buy a Shenmue "complete" day 1.

I meant it wins the coveted "StriderKyo buys your system" prize, which comes with free pimping on TNL and "they're not really that good when you think about it" rationalizations regarding the competing consoles I didn't buy. I was on Showcase Showdown one time, but the 90 yr. old lady went with the boat instead. Like she could fucking sail it.

The second half of part 2 is the whole reason to play the series. It's like you're going along, minding your own business, buying vending machine toys, talking to Fuku san and beating up 80 guys at once every once in a while, then BAM! VF RPG AWESOMENESS ALL UP IN YOUR FACE.
