Ill do my part come August 29 though...
There are twice as many PSPs sold in North America as 360s. If it doesn't happen, it's because the game doesn't have the same broad appeal.

  2. There's not even a glimmer that UG'nG will be a smash hit in the US.

2.5D + real challenge - real-life violence or hookers = cult hit at best

I wasn't aware anyone other than Yoshi gave a fig about GameRankings.

I use it. Especially if it's a game I wasn't paying attention to when it came out, I'll go back and check what everybody thought. If a game comes up as 60%, odds are it's not worth bothering with.

I wonder how many of those people who bought PSPS still own them and havent traded or sold them back in to the nearest gamestore/EBAY though. Out of all of the games we have instore the ones that move the least are the PSP ones.

  6. LOL @ blindly using Gamerankings. We're not talking about cars or computers here, where people complaining about tires falling off or screens blowing up is an issue. Everyone has different tastes with games. If you look at a few scores and think a game is going to be fun or not based on them, you'll be missing a lot of good stuff and buying a lot of crap you don't want.

I don't really see how a lot of people buying something is going to prove that Parish is a hack. People buy shit and lots of it, like Grand Theft Auto 3 and afterwards. If he honestly thinks its garbage, what of it? I doubt he's the one that decided it'd be best to review the game for three major publications. Unless... OH MY GOD, HE HAS SOME KIND OF GRUDGE AGAINST WHATEVER ONE MAN IS BEHIND UG&G! MAYBE A JEWISH MAN CREATED THE GAME AND PARISH HATES JEWS!

    Wait, no hookers?

I saw we all get together and roll him at E3.
That's him? lol Now I know why he's angry.

  8. I have to admit, wearing the 4.5 score with a middle finger is a fantastic heel maneuver. Granted, he is a douchebag, but I'll give him 4.5 points for having retarded balls.

Umm... there are contracts in the game industry, very expensive ones, that have GameRankings aggregate in the contract (for example, WB will penalize game companies who's games dont get a minimum score in GR). GR is big and getting bigger. Rottentomatoes, Metacritic, GR, there's so many movies/music/games and so many reviewers that an aggregate is helpful to the 99.9% of people that dont follow the industry. I use RT all the time for movie-watching.

I don't really see how a lot of people buying something is going to prove that Parish is a hack.
I don't really care that he didn't like the game (though his complaints ring hollow - it really does sound like he simply wants an easier game), and its Ziff's screw-up, not his. It's just a major screw-up imo. He really didn't do anything wrong.

Handhelds are a different beast (as Sony has learned over the past year or so). If god-awful garbage like Brain Age and Nintendogs can sell 1 million plus I think UGnG has a good shot of selling to a sizable portion of the PSP's userbase. 200,000 or so is not out of the question imo.

This is the same guy who thought he was being all cool and edgy for announcing to the world that FFVII sucks? (Which then caused Finch to go insane defending him?) Sounds like this dude is an attention-seeking internet troll who somehow got a job where his opinions are distributed to the masses.

    Not a fan.

P.S. I'm flip-flopping and getting 100% into him if that shirt is for real. I assumed it was a Photoshop.
