Thread: Ultimate Ghosts 'n Goblins (PSP)

  1. Oh, c'mon, you're going to tell me that you'd have no problem with them charging the same price for portable games as they do for console games? (Hell, that's pretty much the case already.) Even if it's the *exact* same game, if I have to play it on a three-inch screen with no option to output to my tv, it is inferior, and absolutely shouldn't cost as much.

I spent $40 on Monster Hunter in a moment of weakness. I will probably do the same with UG'nG. It's not the norm for me, though. And I almost never spend $50 on PS2 games either (I think DQVIII was the last time, and FFXII will be the next.)

Not in theory. Of course if a game isnt worth it I wont pay it anyway. $40 for UGnG seems reasonable, $40 for Monster Hunter is lol.

  3. When did you stop using apostrophes? And sit up straight!

Keyword remakes, 10$ extra for brand new content in comparison seems fair (if you thought 30 was ok for MM). Capcom have done a small fanbase a big favour here as far as I'm concerned and we should support it imho.

Okami took like 3-4 years to develop, has high production values, and the engine and gameplay were developed on a trial and error basis (which = more money on top of base cost).

UG&G is largely a straightforward new coat of paint on a preexisting design which required very little retooling, it took about a year, year and half to make, and final dev cost is probably much, much less.

They're charging the same for UG&G as they are for Okami.

    THAT's kinda fucked up, imo.

    Bull crackers I would.

I'll just play some Maximo or SG&G until the price comes down a bit.
So, out of the $270 you have budgeted for DS games this year, you can't eke out another 10 bucks?

Did you even read my post? This makes no sense.

Is SMB3 a "straightforward new coat of paint" on Super Mario Bros?

Owned IMO. Anyone who would buy Elite Beat Agents over UG&G should have their gamer card revoked.

  9. For the people squabbling over the price over THIS game, just wow. I thought I'd see those types of complaints on Gamefaqs but not here.

IMO-GnG on a portable is still better than 99% of console games, and this is coming from someone who generally hates handheld gaming.
Ghouls'N Ghosts=Greatest game known to mankind

  10. Anyone that cries about the price of a brand new GnG that lives up the the rest of the series sucks at life.
