God, I just read through those LJ comments. Lots of "marry me", "I want to have your children", "A++", and "you're an asshat". I've heard about how awful the LJ community is, but seeing it first-hand was . . . sad.
The guy was a brilliant jerk for doing what he did, and it taught me the sinister power of .htaccess.
