I for one love Andy's transparent pro PSP anti DS propaganda threads, as well as his detailed explanations for how he's not really a PSP fanboy (not being sarcastic). It's more entertaining than watching some of the more miserable bastards on the board running around trolling everything like the old lady throwing cats at people from The Simpsons. When's Diff getting back BTW, I miss my personal little troll. It's just not the same without him, no disrespect to Yoshi's trolling skills but his training isn't complete yet.
Andy: How is the PSP murdering the DS in sales if the DS has double the international numbers of the PSP? It's really obvious how much capitalist America loves the PSP when every store I go to has a PSP section full of dust covered UMD's, while my view of the DS section is obscured by the clerk selling a DS and a copy of Nintendogs.
I read somewhere (I think Digital Bits) that almost 30 percent of all UMD movie sales are Resident Evil: Apocalypse. I don't get it.
Jesus christ you people are getting annoying. How about this - the PSP is nice, the DS is nice, some people like one, some people like the other, some like both, they're both doing not too shabby retail wise, and we all agree on that? For fuck's sake...

Shidoshi, remember... We're HERE. i am kind of tired of reading about the lack of PSP software (geez, i have 8 games and there're quite a few coming up that i like) or how the DS is embarassing in public (you play VIDEOGAMES, nerd!). So, what you said.
Anyway, Europe's most successful launch. That's news. I remember PSP's sitting on the shelves for a week in the US, and then promptly dissappearing. Dead pixels, short battery life, UMD nonsense.
I agree with everything you said Shidoshi, the problem is that the PSP's game library is putrid and Sony has said a bunch of really annoying stuff lately. Some people are content to use the PSP as a media player and sprinkle in games of Pure or Lumines and that's cool, I just personally expect more when I've been given notice that the thing is going to pull handheld gaming out of the ghetto (BTW if Nintendogs is the ghetto, I've been spending way too much time drinking 40's and stealing microwaves). I adore the PSP's screen, when they revamp the system (push the inside buttons off the sides of the screen and do something about the battery life) and the good games start coming I'll be first in line to get one. I thought the DS was a joke until Kirby came out, and a couple months later I'm in love with the thing.
Eh it's just Andy being his usual self.
I think he enjoys both systems (DS now, I mean look at his avatar) but maybe likes the PSP a bit more and wants it to do better so that he can finally get some more good games to play.
There is absolutely no problem with the inside buttons being on the screen. Doesn't change the functionality at all, whatsoever, and if they weren't the system would be bigger than it has to be. I don't find the battery life to be prohibitive of using it when I want to, either. These were all complaints I had about the PSP before I bought one... now that I have one I see that they're not such a big issue.Originally Posted by SpoDaddy
The software problem, however, yeah... that one's for real.
