Picked up the TU Ironhide today. Robot mode is okay, but the vehicle mode looks like someone shattered the back end and doesn't fit back together real snug. Kinda wish I'd bought Sideswipe instead.

Oh another note, I got the kick-ass City Commander set today. Let me tell you, he's worth every penny. The suit looks like it was made by hasbro for him. Absolutely worth the money. Here's a few pictures for size comparison.

So, my local Walmart got in the 25th anniversary reproduction Optimus Prime... I'm torn on this thing. On the one hand, I've wanted one for years (my cousin had one when I was a kid, and for some reason my parents could never find me one... I think maybe they'd already stopped making him), but seeing it in person... it's so much smaller than I remember. It's basically a thirty dollar toy, plus ten bucks worth of extra crap I don't even want, plus a thirty dollar nerd tax.
Anyway... more loltastic news on the Animated Jetfire/Jetstorm set. Turns out yes, the individual figures do have hands... Legends hands.
Hands merely molded into the inside of the vehicle shell... on a Deluxe? Yeah, uh, they can GTF right O with that shit. I was already probably gonna pass, but this seals the deal.
More pics of the Mickeyformer, with a better look at the truck mode and a detailed look at the transformation scheme (yeah, he's pretty much a shellformer, but not as bad a one as say, Classics Megatron):
I'm shocked to say this, but I'm now strongly considering getting this guy.
Finally, here's a rundown of newly revealed upcoming figures:
Universe Deluxe Dinobot and Smokescreen - Dinobot is kinda iffy for me, as I've said before beastformers don't really appeal to me. Smokescreen looks great - the Prowl mold is seeing a lot of use, but as long as they keep picking good color schemes I won't complain.
Animated Deluxe Waspinator and Samurai Prowl - These are both definite buys for me. The new armor/sidecar accessory looks great on Prowl, and I'm glad they didn't feel the need to give him a whole new color scheme along with it, just minor tweaks.
Animated Voyager Wreck-Gar - Come on. It's a Weird Alformer, how can you say no?
Animated Voyager Atomic Lugnut - I like the new color scheme, but I don't like this mold enough to double-dip. If this one had come first (or even been revealed before the other came out) I'd definitely have gotten it and passed on the normal one, though.
Universe Voyager Leo Prime - I kinda like this one, but I have a feeling it won't look as good in person, without the shooped-on shine.
Universe Voyager Overload - Big fat meh to this. I had no interest in the last version, and this one barely even looks different.
