Thread: Transformers

  1. New stuff revealed on Hasbro.com:

    REAL GEAR ROBOTS

Night Beat 7 (Booster X10 repaint)

    High Score 100

    Meantime

(It's too bad they didn't make him a real working watch... the MP3 players and game devices I can understand, but a bare-bones digital watch would cost them like three cents extra.)

"MOVIE" (most of them actually from the game of the movie) DELUXE

    Payload

    Dropkick

Final Battle Jazz (basically the existing figure with battle damage and a new weapon - lame IMO)

And finally, I've saved the best for last... get ready for some Grade A awesomeness...

    LEADER CLASS BRAWL!!

It'll be nice to have a Brawl that doesn't look like some sort of micro-tank when you put it next to the car characters. Picked up Wreckage tonight and he's easily my favorite movie figure so far, the scale issue is my one complaint.

  2. Okay, so apparently the Shockwave sculpt they had made for the Titanium line was drawn from War Within, so it's probably a safe bet it won't be used for the Universe line (and thank God, because it's pretty terrible). Ditto for Bumblebee/Cliffjumper (it's actually not nearly as bad on its own merits, but I don't really want to see protoforms in the Universe line). I don't really care for the G1-based Arcee sculpt either, but she's not a character I really care about, so it won't offend me if they do use it. The Cosmos sculpt is nice, that one I actually hope they DO use.

  3. I love this guy's idea...
As you can see, the motorcycle mode is the perfect size for the Revoltech Revy figure. I was intrigued back in the day when Energon Kicker and Highwire came out. Having a human character to ride on a Transformer is a novel idea, but I didn't like the execution with Highwire. Obviously this Arcee isn't designed specifically to accomodate a rider, but the fact that it does adds a lot to the playability factor for me. Most of the time I'm tempted to leave my Transformers in robot mode while on display. Being able to slap another figure ontop of Arcee's alt-mode gives me the option of posing her either way and being satisfied.

...but I'd rather use Dante. Are the Revoltech figures all pretty much the same size?

I picked up Barricade. besides Deluxe Prime its my only Movie figure. It's friggin awesome. i love the figure. Aesthetic and the overall design is really good. Really close to the movie. I'm gonna look for bonecrusher and Concept BB tomarrow. After i see the movie again

P.S. I STILL havn't found out who took my Revoltech Prime and i cant get another one replaced cus UPS says they delivered it. so i'm out 30 bucks and a badass figure
I have doubts on if i'm gonna order from Bigbadtoystore again.

Some are better than others. I feel the build quality went downhill after the first few figures. But I did like Rumble, that one was awesome.

  6. No more Alternators = ass. All the other toys shown I don't care about.

  7. That starscream looks hot.

    Day 1 imo.

What's wrong with that Shockwave? Are you perhaps... CRAZY?

  9. Yeah, sculpt looks good to me.

But perhaps he just mean that the titanium line in general sucks, which is true. I love how my Titanium Soundwave's legs won't lock in the extended position and how his crotch is so overly large it looks like he's wearing a full diaper. Laserbeak looks like shit, too.

  10. The Titanium series is the worst yet. Gobots were better.
