Thanks. I went to the official site and looked at some screens, so what you said makes some sense now.Originally Posted by Frogacuda

Sure, I can buy an import to hold onto until I get an X360 later on. Unfortunately, Microsoft's royalty policy and the Xenon Chip used to enforce it may make it tougher to get a GOOD arcade stick to play the game with.
I'm waiting to hear anything from Kron on this.
Finished in 2021: 8 games (PC: 4, PS4: 2, PS3: 1, X1: 1)
Yeah, it's a Naomi game, so give us the option of a Dreamcast port, at least. Then release it on whatever else you like.
Though I'm still not convinced as to how good this game is. Maybe it comes alive in 2 player but I saw a video and it looked slow and all of a sudden your machine transforms into this almighty battleship, like when you collect 3 gems in Powerstone, with that kind of unbeatable power.
Every single one of you silly kids and your dreamcast love just need to let it go. In fact, stop making birthday thread for it. We know you love it, hell I still have mine hooked up too, but LET IT GO. The first step is accepting it.
The problem is that the shmups released for the Xbox in Japan has gone on to sell less than 1500 copies each and a DC version of Ronde would sell around 5-6k if it was available. Gradius 3&4 sold under 300 copies on the PS2 launch and I've got a horrible feeling a similar thing will happen here as the game is somewhat out of sync to what the console is offering.
You also have to factor that the western sales of this game are going to be absolutely minute considering the X360 is region locked and people will need a Japanese system to play it.
The Xbox is a widely ignored console in Japan since it doesn't offer anything the public demands besides Dead or Alive. Not really similar to what the 360 is expected to be. The shooting games for the Xbox were previously released for other systems, anyways. Bad comparison.Originally Posted by Kron
Nah. That even wasn't reached by Trizeal despite the please-buy-my-game campaign.each and a DC version of Ronde would sell around 5-6k if it was available.
You have crappy sources then again. Senko no Ronde won't be a launch title, anyhow. Bad comparison.Gradius 3&4 sold under 300 copies on the PS2 launch
Sure. Remember - The game is developed for Japanese people. And for those who played the arcade game, to be more exact. You also have to factor that the western sales of this game are going to be absolutely minute considering the X360 is region locked and people will need a Japanese system to play it.
Is it developed for people who pretend they are Japanese too?
Edit: bah, videos are gone![]()
