I have a feeling that Nintendo will drop the GBA slot if they ever redesign the DS, so it might not be a bad idea to grab one anyway.
I'm really torn between the new SP and the micro, since I can currently get either one for the same price.
I say get the SP2. If the DS doesn't interest you now, get one when Nintendo invariably redesigns the DS in a year or two.Originally Posted by Frogacuda

Drop the GBA slot?
Unless they make the touted rumblepack functionality intertal on a new DS, I couldn't see the removal of the GBA slot happening.
If I had the choice I'd get a Micro. I played one the other day. They're beautiful.
Yeah, it's not like Nintendo to break compatibility with add-ons when they design updated systems.
Is the Micro good for playing games with lots of text though like Zelda or Advance Wars?
From what reviewers have said, it's fine for text heavy games.
I'd be more concerned with ports of 16-bit shooters.
The smaller bullets in R-Type III and Contra must be microscopic.
Yeah see, that too concerns me a lot.Originally Posted by kedawa

I thought it might.
The new SPs screens look a lot better than the micros.
PSN = knarlockk
Steam= kevinb150
What about battery life?
I imagine the brighter screen would have a negative impact, although the old screen did give off a lot of useless light.
