Seriously, though, I love the anime jokes AS is always throwing around. The way they mock the very shows that keep them on the air is fucking priceless.

1. I don't think Adult Swim needs anime to survive. Family Guy/Futurama get the biggest ratings over all and thier original programs like Aqua teen are pretty damn popular too.
2.Anime was just something added to seperate them from other channels like Comedy Central and to tap into the then untapped anime market.
3.Doesn't help the matters that the majority of anime fans there love that crap Inuyasha and completely forsake shows like PA.

Actually, if you've seen the ratings bumps, the Saturday all-anime nights are the lowest rated of all the Adult Swim evenings, they added Futurama back on Saturdays because of this.Originally Posted by ChaoofNee
