Thread: Halo 3: Official

  1. All I want is online co-op. C'mon Bungie, is that so much to ask?

No, I lie. I also don't want to play as the Arbiter or any other fucking alien. Master Chief straight through, please. Leave the multiple races for multi-player.

  2. OR.

I could just play as the Arbiter.

  3. I liked the Arbiter

    Keith David FTW.

Seriously, how is the plot going to shape up, I wonder? Will we see Elites and Marines fighting alongside each other?

It's the shield gauge, the lower right bars are the scores of the two teams (clearly visible in the first shot).

    What's the third grenade?

The third grenade is most likely going to be the temporary shield grenade we saw Master Chief use in the Halo 3 TV commercial.

In the Halo 3 Brute video, the developers stated that the Elites have left the Covenant, so I'm sure we'll see situations where the Marines and the Elites will fight what's left of the Covenant.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. That'd be hot.

The 3 grenades on the screen are plasma, regular, and brute needle stick grenades. Chances are there will be a 4th, shield type of grenade, but it's not pictured in that HUD.

  8. play halo 2 for 3 hours online, try for a halo 3 invite.

    http://www.joystiq.com/2007/01/03/pl...o-halo-3-beta/

Having failed miserably at obtaining entry into this Spring's Halo 3 beta program, you'll no doubt be pleased to learn of yet another opportunity to partake in first-person shooting and having your sexuality questioned by obnoxious brats. In fact, there are 13,333 such opportunities -- all you need to do is endure three hours of Halo 2 online.

It's easy. Play Halo 2 online for three hours between Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007, 12:01 a.m. EST and Feb. 3, 2007, 11:59 p.m. EST. If you survive, rush to the official Halo 3 website and be part of the first 13,333 gamers to register in the "Rule of Three" program. If, however, you end up being number 13,334 ... well, you'll have to buy Crackdown.

As previously reported, copies of Crackdown will contain invites to the Halo 3 beta program. Releasing on February 20, the game disc will act as a key to download the required data from Xbox Live Marketplace. Microsoft promises to release further information regarding the program for each region, though NTSC importers stuck in exotic countries may wish to consider the Crackdown route in the meantime.

  9. This circlejerk crap is stupid. Why not just make it a public beta for anyone to try out?

Man. That's the best incentive to buy a game since the MGS2 demo in ZOE.

That kind of marketing doesn't really bode well for the quality of Crackdown.
