That's something I could get behind. Epic-scale battles with hundreds of enemies.
It all comes down to lazy programmers. Games like Halo and Gears have had so much time, devotion, and money put into them that they can make the online look and run just like the single player. Ubisoft spits out sequals as fast as they can and don't give a rats ass about perfecting online.
I definately liked Halo's single player over that of Halo 2. I just really hope we don't have to deal with the flood as much, if at all. To me , those were the boring parts of the game when I just wanted to get back to fighting the normal bad guys.

Joystiq breaks down the Halo 3 video and points out some really interesting things.

Halo 2's single-player was shit. I had to force myself to finish the game when I realized that you used the Arbiter more than MC. I don't want to use aliens in single-player. I want to use MC, with big guns, and lots of marines running around killing and chattering. That was awesome in Halo, and the jumping back and forth between characters just killed the flow of Halo 2 for me.

Guess I shouldn't post the leaked story. If you hate the Arbiter levels (like myself) ... well.

Judging by how tight lipped Bungie is about their single player stories (and everything Halo related), I highly doubt the script got leaked 6-8 months before the product is released. I wouldn't doubt if a crazed Halo fan produced a very believable fake though. Of course I could be 100% wrong.
PS. Can you PM me the leaked story?![]()
