It and Chrono Trigger are two of the most commonly praised RPGs of all time, let alone the 8 bit era. The only other RPG that really beats them in this regard is Final Fantasy 7. Both Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 3 were amazing RPG's. They're great examples of the peaks of their genre in everything but graphics.

  2. Super Famicom

I'd love to see a Super Famicom or Super NES styled DS. I'd probably buy the SFC version, unless the SNES version turns out to somehow have more style. I don't think that'd be possible, but I actually prefer the way the NES SP looks compared to either version of the Famicom SP.

  3. What happened here? Who is this company?

Btw, I will be flat out jolly if R3K & Nobunaga make it out here. I'd honestly put more hours into either one of those than Advance Wars (42 & counting).

You seem to be talking about FFVI (III in the US). This new DS remake, and the one Frog was referring to, is the "real" III, originally released on the NES (8-bit), and to this day, the only FF not released in the US.

The DS is indeed turning out to be an awesome little system. Does anyone know if games are going out of print super-fast like they did and still do for the GBA? I have to try to space out some of these purchases if I can. But I don't want to have to hunt down things like Castlevania and Trace Memory on ebay in four months because they're sold out everywhere.

  6. Hot damn, Strider. 26 hours here. Any tips for Mission 11 on Hard Campaign? Been stuck on that bitch for a while.

  7. !

Okay, that + Castlevania has done it. Now, I'm psyched to buy a DS. Sales + 1. I'll be a proud owner tomorrow.

BUT - PASS ON THIS GAME:

What, really? This is the first time I've ever seen them acknowledge its existance. Wow. This is something new I want to try.
