EB issues "lame" new policy letter...

I already hate EB employees as it is (and have chewed out several of them, only to apologize after I remember they're being forced to be assholes). Maybe it's time to shop at Gamestop exclusively.

I feel for both. That's annoying as hell for customers, and as the people working at the EB I go to if I go are pretty cool, I feel sorry for them having to utter these stupid lines every time somebody walks in.

I don't see how they expect this to help their business, especially with the merger established between them and Gamestop.

Which is the same company now. If your hounded I think the best thing to do is bring it up with a manager. Tell 'em it's a shitty practice and they should dump it, or they're going to be losing customers en mass. If people don't put up with it and complain (or pushes people away) it'll stop.

The problem is that now EB/Gamestop takes up 85% (roughly) of the video game trade-in market. They can do just about whatever they want and they're still going to flourish.
