hollywood, I think I love you (aka Official Snakes on a Plane Thread)

Our crowd SUCKED, as there was maybe ten people total in the entire place. (10pm on a Saturday, WTF?) Still have a fun time, as for what it is supposed to be, SoaP is a great movie. I just really wish we had been able to go to the 10pm Thursday showing at our usual theater.

People seem to forget that this isn't a huge mainstream kind of flick. Yes, there was huge internet buzz and all that, but that doesn't equate to strong box office. It's like when people complain about there not being a Mark of Kri sequel, one comes out and no one buys it. Sometimes people want something, but they don't always get it right away when it's available. A lot of those people probably downloaded it or are waiting for the DVD. The theater experience just isn't appealing to as many people anymore. There are some exceptions out there, like how extremely well Pirates did... but that was more of a family movie, and this was an R rated (I'll say it) niche title.

The movie is awsome. People who watch it, and dont like it just dont get it. I'm getting this on DVD, and HD DVD/ blue ray when I get the chance. It kinda brought me back to the 80's.

I saw it with just a couple friends and I still enjoyed it. Granted I didn't think it was amazing and I thought it could be better, but I'm sure I still would have thought that even with a good crowd. I would have liked to have seen Ronny Yu's take on this.

even if that's how you feel, many people complained when the "trilogy" was canned... so they made a 2nd one to please people that were complaining... and it sold like shit and was quickly put into bargain bins across the country.

Movie of the decade. I'm just gonna say it: Sam Jackson should run for president. If he can handle snakes, he can handle terrorists. This movie is freaking awesome. I'm going again this weekend on my college campus which I'm sure will be filled with a ton of drunk people. That in itself is going to make the experience even better.
