My spoiler tag isn't working in your quote. That was my bad.
Interesting side note: I just got the ability to make Bronze Helmets and I'm going to waste a little time making two of those before I go to Trodain becuase you can't buy anything better than that for two dungeons and one town further in the game.

has anyone trying installing DQ8 on PS2 HDD(mine is an 80GB maxtor) with HD Loader? load times are not bad, but i'd like some quickness.
i'm off to bed now since it's 1:20am here, but i'll try to install it tomorrow, reason i ask is that i dont want to wait to install the game for 2 hours to find out that it doesnt work at the end, or has some problems(like some HD Loader games that corrupt your game save).

I hear that it works very well.Originally Posted by marwan
So what do you know, I still haven't got to where I'm going.
Instead I started doing the Monster Arena. Why? Becuase I knew where some really strong monsters were and now I can battle my way through rank D without any trouble and get some really stong items on the way. One piece of Armor for Jessica is almost twice as strong as the best thing I can buy/make for her at this point. Then there's some really good accessories that give really large boosts to defense and offense, and one of them will allow me to make the second strongest Hammer in a few towns when I can buy the third.
I love this game. BTW, I have 22 hours on the game and I'm still not at Trodain. I think most people at that hour mark are much further and most people at that area of the game are much weaker.

Yeah. All they do is reiterate what was already said, except for the rare times they're loitering around a town seperately. There's still no conversation since the hero never says anything.Originally Posted by rama
Yes. That would clearly explain your strength in relativity to where you are right now (since you said you had to be lv19). How long is this Dragon Warrior anyway? It's nothing near DQ7 is it?Originally Posted by Opaque
