The FFX sphere grid system is still giving me nightmares till this day, i fucking hated it, and never understood it eventhough i went over the tutorial a billion times! i prefer the old experience type of leveling up.
I think you just have a problem with visual presentation.

if that were true he wouldn't like video games much. i never played ffx but the menus system for the ffxii is pretty straight forward. i didn't even have to look through that little guide to understand it. it was easy to pick up and pretty enjoyable for me.

  3. The sphere grid was hot shit. If you can plan even a little bit, you can do whatever you need to do.

people keep saying that, but i just still don't get it ...oh well, i guess it's just me.

Both are pretty serious until the end of DDS2. Then it goes funny. Even before then it always feels like the writers are kind of smirking.
Magna Carta's much better at being funny than it is serious too. You, a father? More like a child molester!
    Donk

Then you should play DDS2. The sphere grid is excellent, on its own or put in comparaison with FFX's jumbled mess. And I liked FFX so that says plenty.

Which was exactly my point. The menu system for all the FFs is as basic and straightforward as DQ, the only real difference is the graphical presentation.

I share his name and have had the same thing said to me. It's been so awesome having a videogame character that appears to be channelling myself.

What didn't you understand about the grid system? That was one of the best parts of FFX.
