I'm curious, but who is everyone's favorite driver/car combo?

I use Yoshi and any kart that has poor weight, superior handling, and poor drifting. That's the combo that you need to pull off the snaking technique. When I'm not feeling cheatful, though, I like using Bowser in the Rob-Legs kart. I like the Golden Mantis because your emblem looks so nice on it.

And nobody can go wrong with the Brute kart.

Dry Bones / Dry Bomber
ROB / Standard ROB

Has anyone here played any of the Nintendo staff ghosts? I unlocked my first one last night on Waluigi pinball. The Nintendo staffer used Waluigi/golden mantis and it took me all night until I finally beat him by one second using Dry Bone's tank. My time: 2:22 NOJ staff: 2:23 It will be interesting to see what other staff ghosts I can unlock.

Basically, you have to get somewhere around five seconds from the staff ghost time before you can race them. The only tracks I have tried so far are Donut Plains 1, Mario Circuit 1, and Baby Park; of those three tracks, I have only beaten the staff ghost for Baby Park.

Even though the staff ghosts don't snake, they know the best racing lines and are masters at drifting and boosting, thus making them quite challenging, even for novice snakers like me.

They are indeed the masters. I just unlocked the staff ghost for Shroom ridge. Yikes.

what do i get if i finish 1st on all races on 150cc on mirror mode? i can't be bothered to put the effort if im not getting anything in return.

Just star ratings. Nothing special really.

When you get the star ratings, people will see your name with those stars in Wi-Fi mode. It's a subtle method of bragging rights in Wi-Fi mode. I don't think it's as worth it as getting triple stars in Mission Mode or beating the Staff Ghosts in Time Trial.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. Also note that when people see those stars, they'll probably disconnect right away.

I usually use Dry Bones/Dry Bomber or Yoshi 2nd car.

If I catch somebody snaking, I drop. I will never drop on anyone else.
