I finished it , and enjoyed it. But I still think series wise The Legend of Zelda Link to the Past is the best zelda ever made.

    All in all ,

The game looks good. Are you not sure about your sexuality that you insult others for liking a game that includes a female........

    Well,

All I could think about is that Zelda 64 is basically Mario 64 with a sword... Which is probably why you got bored.

NOTE: I still enjoyed the game personaly.

    Goddamn right.
    Fuck that,

"link to the past" music alone owns that game any day!

I was trying to be witty but I failed. I'm looking forward to this game as much as anyone in this thread.

Wait, what? Those two games are absolutely nothing alike. You fail. At everything.

It warms my heart to see how many of you think OoT sucks. Anyone who disagrees should be punched in the neck.

On the subject of Marble Madness, I'd like to play it with the original trackball someday. It will probably make me even more insane than the NES version did.

  6. As a person currently replaying OoT again for the first time in about 6 years, I can safely say I love it as much as ever. I'm in Jabu Jabu's belly today (after exploring Zora's river and lake hylia, best fishing game ever I will add), just got the boomerang feels like 100% Zelda to me, just feels more expansive and more "epic."

Oh yes, and OoT's overworld OWNS LttP's. Running around hitting blue knights while dodging rocks moles throw at me plus running into endless blue boulders which I can't move until much later....ohhhhhh, that is one untouchable overworld alright. How could any subsequent game live up to a map like that?! Not saying LttP's overworld isn't great, just rose tinted glasses 'n all ya know?

And saying it is just "Mario 64 with a sword" is rediculous. The only major thing they have in common mechanics-wise is the analog movement.

Anyways, I was playing Zelda 1 before I borrowed my NES to my brother in law. Once I get it back I'm gonna play them side by side.

You really think so? OoT's overworld was such a drag to me. I got so excited when I could initially explore it. "Yes! I have a horse! Time to, uh... ride it around the backyard." There wasn't much of anything to see or do. I can't think of any reason it had to be so small and dull.

I've played LttP tons of times over the years and I don't think nostalgia has anything to do with it. The game holds up. OoT was always dull to me, and now it's even uglier (I did not think this was possible) on GC. I see no compelling reason to return to it knowing I will just get bored yet again.

edit: But, you know, I respect your opinion. Because I love Precious Roy's Def Leppard hair gel.

Riding the horse is sweet, you can jump over fences and it helps you travel the overworld much faster (which is a big help cutting down on fights with them pesky skeletons) It adds a whole new dimension to the game and make it feel more like a real "world." The only thing that is missing is horse combat which we get in the next game.

And I don't think either OoT or Mario 64 are ugly at all. Sure I like sprites better but just as the classic game fan in me has fondness for a good 2D game's visual "warts," then I guess that is why I am not bothered by the "bockiness" or fuzzy textures in either Mario or OoT. Also, OoT had none of the N64's cursed fog. You could see into the distance forever, that was some impressive coding and compression for the time.

Now, "Buy my 'anti Navi hint code'! SUCKERS!"

edit: I am playing the N64 cart, btw. Never got the WW bonus disc.

  9. get back on topic bitches.

    daisy > peach
ssb:melee peach > all other current versions

if this game plays half as good as it could(nintendo has a pretty solid track record for 2d titles), then this'll be my 3rd DS title.
