I actually agree with this. Mario Sunshine was a better game than its scores indicate, because everyone wanted Mario 64 2. If Nintendo would actually figure out what people want instead of trying to tell them, sales and review scores would go up though.Originally Posted by Clash!

It depends upon the criteria. They're making money, but they could/should be making more.Originally Posted by Clash!
I don't know why I bother arguing with diffx. He doesn't need to play games to judge their quality, he can trust reviewers he usually bashes.
Huh? Sunshine review scores were extremely high. http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/533287.aspOriginally Posted by Yoshi
Well, shit. I must be remembering the GameSpot score, although that seems fairly accurate. Old age is a bitch.Originally Posted by NeoZeedeater

Harris is a good reviewer, his opinion as usual sounds very straightforward: he says it's a fun game but it babies the player with endless life replenishment, tells u where the Toads are (OTOH, if they'd only done this with Sunshine's blue coins, yowza...), easy bosses, ect.
I hope this doesn't bode badly for New SMB. I could see that easily being ruined simply by giving the player non stop opportunities to get the Bonk 3...i mean giant Mario power up. But on system politics, it is a wise move. Peach will make bank just like Nintendogs did and it is over for PSP this gen. It comes in at a decent second to DS thanks to Sony's arrogance and Kaz Hirai dropping the ball. End of story.

What the fuck are you smoking? There are years left in this generation, and the PSP lineup for this year destroys the DS one. Go look in the new thread I just posted.Originally Posted by Dylan1CC
haha Yeah, and.....? You are deluded if you think a SF Alpha port, MM Powered Up, Exit and Katamari have a chance of staving off New SMB and Metroid Hunters ALONE. Did MGA! outsell Mario 64? Nope. Will MGA!2 or Daxter outsell any of the AAA titles comingout for DS? Doubtful.

It's a good thing those aren't even the best things announced for PSP against the only two big titles on the DS then, huh? Mario and Metroid sure didn't do much against the PS2...Originally Posted by Dylan1CC
Yes and this is the portable market we are discussing which I shouldn't have to tell you is a very different beast than the home front. The very fact that the PSP is a spendy portable PS2 is precisely why it is behind.Originally Posted by Yoshi
Anyways, I will just close quoting something Spike said earlier:
Nintendo is going to dominate the handheld wars this year. Better get used to your new dual-Screen, touch-screen overlords...
