Thread: Super Princess Peach

  1. OoT didn't do a thing for me...In fact none of the N64 Zeldas did. The first half of Wind Waker was great but the sailing wore on me until I just gave up at the start of the second half. I'll take the 2D Zeldas.

And yes, perfect games do exist. Asteroids Deluxe is one of them.

  2. Wind Waker exists. It's a perfect game.

Mark me down for being bored to numbness with Ocarina of Time. I bought it the day it came out too. Now, Majora's Mask, that was a masterpiece.

  3. :D goes to Compass!

Ms. Pac-Man, Bubble Bobble, Super Mario Bros., and Super Mario Bros. 3 are also perfect. You cannot argue with me.

omfgz bubble bobble..how is bubble bobble old & new?
    Pete DeBoer's Tie
There are no rules, only consequences.

  5. Wind Waker bored me more than Ocarina, overall. Amazing overworld, some very good dungeons, a couple good puzzles (and a bunch of rehashed ones), but killed by the fetch quests. None of the other Zeldas relied this heavily on blatant fetch quests, so why did Wind Waker? "A bunch of content" is not enough... for a game to be truly interesting, most of that content has to be worthwhile.

Still, Wind Waker at its best (when it wasn't dicking around with irrelevant yet required bullshit) was much better than Ocarina at its best. If you rate a game based on its finest moments, then yeah, I can understand people considering WW the best in the series.

And yes, Bubble Bobble is perfect. Arkanoid, too.

It's just Bubble Bobble on a tiny screen. New only updates the graphics. It's nice that you can zoom in and out. Zoomed in, everything's big and colorful, out, it's tiny but you can see the whole stage. It only takes a little bit to get used to. To tell the truth, BB never clicked for me until i played Old & New a bit. When i was a kid i was obsessed up until i started playing the game on NES, and didn't really like it because i just didn't get it.

  7. Marble Madness is the perfect game.

  8. I hate Marble Madness because I suck at it.

  9. Snow Bros > Bubble Bobble. There was a time where I would have stabbed myself before saying this, but after playing both now I think Snow Bros has equally good simple gameplay with more complex game mechanics if you're playing for score.

Links Awakening > any Zelda game.

Yes, but it doesn't have the music.
