Gamefly is alright, like what everyone said, it depends on where you live. I tried it a month ago and living here in the east coast kinda suck, but they are trying to quicken the turn around times with some mail notification setup with the post office so as soon as you drop off the game, USPS will notify GF to send the next game out. It definitely helps. It is a decent service for those who just want to rent/try/finish games, but I think the most you get out of it is maybe 4 games a month.
yeah dont they end up making you pay over retail if you keep soemthing out too long?Originally Posted by Rumpy
yeah blockbuster has this USPS notification shit in place and its not any faster. i still wont get stuff sent until they physically receive it or until i manually report in my q that i sent something back and they need to send the next movies.Originally Posted by kingoffighters

Put in for it just now. We'll have to see how it goes. Most of the games in my que are upcoming releases or recently released games. Beats blockbuster or movie gallery, since they don't have all the DS games I want. I'm holding off renting PSP games cuz I don't want to update my firmware. Might pick up an extra PSP if some decent games come out so I can play new PSP games. I see they also are a semi-movie rental service because they rent PSP movies. Not bad.
Sounds like you're out of luck if you want to try games with weird peripherals like Taiko Drum Master or that new guitar game.
I think it would be cool if they rented imports for PSP and DS.

You don't have to be smart; you don't have to know the facts, you just have to be confident.

The blockbuster's around me suck, I don't know if it's the same for you guys but mine has like 1 row of rentals for each and they're all the mainstream shit like madden 06, with a few good games but nothing special.
I hate blockbuster.
You have a week after the due date to bring it back. If you don't, they charge you the retail amount. That's just in the fine print below "NO MORE LATE FEES!" So there is still a due date, they just give you a grace period to get it back to them. The best part is, I saw a TV ad for Blockbuster a few weeks ago with the girl saying something like "...and bring it back within a few days. Or do you forget when renting means?" It was a dig at some of the dopes out there, but it's a true enough statement. But with their monthly flat fee movie/game pass that's a good alternative. Better than Netflix if you want a new movie right away.Originally Posted by Dragonmaster Dyne
eh. since they jacked up their prices, BB is just as bad as Netflix with throttling movies and jumbling your queue.Originally Posted by Rumpy
You have seven days after the due date to return it (so really, you have two weeks with no penalty for a 7-day rental or nine days for a 2-day) or they will charge the rental as a SALE (FULL retail price, they don't credit for the amount of the rental). You then have 30 days to return the item and they will clear the sale but charge you $1.25 for "re-stocking fees." If you return after 30 days, you have to pay for the whole thing.Originally Posted by Dragonmaster Dyne
Honestly, though, if you can't return a movie or game after 30 days, you shouldn't be renting anything.
Throttling movies and jumbling your queue? I'm not sure what you mean by the first and Netflix has never changed my queue. It's more about the timing of when they recieve your movies and if the have the movie you want in stock.Originally Posted by Dragonmaster Dyne
