Thread: Mr. Show

  1. Mr. Show

Don't know if there's already a thread for this, but here goes...

For those who don't know, Mr. Show is a sketch comedy show starring David Cross and Bob Odenkirk that aired for four seasons on HBO in the late 90's. And it's pretty much the funniest most irreverent show that I've ever seen. It's available on 2-disc DVD for each season. I've only seen seasons three and four, but they're so damn funny they're worth watching many times.

Buy it, watch it, love it.

  2. I'll go with this.
The skit with the Satanic televangelists had me rolling.
    OMG <3 4EVA
Scourge:Azumanga Daioh is exactly the same thing as Ninja Scroll.
    buttcheeks: High school so weird

  3. That's season three I believe. Season four is even better. Offensive, scathing, and just damn awesome.

I too enjoy this show. I didn;t get it back in the day, but I really like it a lot now. I have season one and two.

    Fartin' Rudy = tops.

  5. The Mount Everest story sketch is simply brilliant.

  6. i think the first 2 seasons of this show are terrible, but i was always in the minority

  7. I have seen 1 episode ever, and I really enjoyed it. Coincidentally I was looking for torrents for this show last night, but they were all poorly seeded.

    I <3 David Cross.

Is that when that guy keeps falling into the thimble rack behind him? God that is funny. My personal favs are the "Third Wheel" song sketch and Pit-Pat. Pretty much every episode is hilarious. I have all four seasons.

I agree. I never saw past that, but what I did see was unwatchable.

  10. I've only seen the first disc (rented from NetFlix), and I laughed a lot... but not as much as I should have for the amount of time something was on screen. In other words, it's really funny when it's funny, and then just there when it's not.
