Thread: Sony introduces a new pricing tier for PSP...

    September:

    DS = 168,000
    PSP = 146,000

    Not this month. September NPD figures are in. Looks like DS maintains its lead. The new Giga pack with virtually no new AAA titles aren't going to help matters much.

  2. GTA: LCS will have more impact than this "Giga pack", methinks.

  3. WHen does GTA:LCS hit. I have seen no adveirtising for it.

  4. Just release a pink one already -- rip-off bundle or core, import or domestic -- I'll be there with bells on (and I'll shake the bells so it sounds like Xmas!).

    Did you just pretend not to read the very next sentence of my post?

    Buy Yakuza and Oblivion. Help yourself, help TNL.

  7. They better make a price drop announcment for a stand alone PSP sometime soon...

  8. I've noticed a few people here complaining that Sony "raised the price," when all they did was create another new PSP package. Some of you really need to read this quote from the first post more closely:

    In addition, the company confirmed the continuation of the current PSP Value Pack for $249 U.S/$299 CND.
    See? They're not phasing out the existing Value Pack. The Giga Pack is a separate package from the Value Pack, and both will coexist together in stores. If you want the Value Pack, it will still be there for you, at the same price that it has been for the last seven months. If not, then just wait for the darned core system to come out in the US (which I thought would have happened by now) and then make your decision.

    Did anyone here raise a similar ruckus when Nintendo announced they would be selling the Nintendo DS with Nintendogs for $149.99 starting in a few days, and criticize Nintendo for ripping people off by silently raising the price of that system from the $129.99 that it's selling for now? I must have missed that.

  9. Nintendo also put a GAME in with their new bundle, as opposed to Sony, who didn't. The Giga pack is just going to be out for a short time, according to IGN. It's just something to cash in on the Holiday rush, so of course they aren't going to get rid of the existing "value" pack for it.

  10. For that price, you can get a DS and 4-5 GOOD games. I can't even name 4-5 games for the PSP off the top of my head that'd I'd be willing to play.
    You don't have to be smart; you don't have to know the facts, you just have to be confident.
