Anyways at ITT my intro to Operating systems class, we've watched both the movie Antitrust and Pirates of Silicon Valley. As a programmer I have to say I thought both movies were enjoyable to watch (Granted I think Pirates of Silicon Valley is better) even though I'm seeing not everyone thought they were both great movies. I'm just wondering if anyone else has any comments about these movies, Pirates of Silicon Valley being a movie I think almost every programmer should watch at least once.

The best part of Antitrust is that they actually use real software instead of a trumped up HollywoodOS.
i liked pirates of silcon valley... it was a cool movie
I've seen the cover to anti-trust so many times that its silly. Worth a rent?
I've only seen Pirates once, so I really need to watch it again, but what I remember of it was really interesting. It's interesting because you get to see that these two huge computer companies both started as just two-person garage projects, and it is crazy where they've ended up. It's also interesting because a lot of people just think Microsoft has always been the big name, but Apple not only created the home PC market, but completely ruled it for quite some time. (As they say, though, it was Apple's to lose, and they did a bang-up job of losing it.)
Of course, for Mac/Apple fans, watching the movie will just make you dislike Microsoft even more. *heh*

Read the book instead.
