Thread: The upcoming PSP software thread.

  1. Don't forget about Street Fighter Alpha 3 Double Upper.

  2. #12
Wow, Suikoden 1 and 2, awesome.

That means I don't have to ever spend a shitload to get Suikoden 2 and (more importantly) I can now get rid of that ass-ugly PS game case for Suikoden 1. Anyone want it?

Also, I thought the Katamari guy wasn't going to make any more Katamari games... so what is this?

Old ass fighting game that everyone who doesn't hate has already played to death + the PSP's controls = forget about it.

  3. Yeah, does the PSP now have 2 analog sticks? How am I gonna play Katamari without them?

  5. Good thread, Andy. It's one thing to get excited about them one title at a time, but seeing them all lined up is nice. My most anticipated in order:

1.Tokobot: The PSP needs a good third person actioner/platformer. The fact that this mixes both of those with a charming and strategic Pikmin'ish robot theme has me sold. Hopefully it's not too short and offers a decent sized quest.

2.Megaman Powered Up: This would be below Every Extend if it weren't for the level edit mode. I just wish they would include the NES rev with an 8-bit level edit, that would be total icing.

3.Every Extend Extra: Tetsuya Mizaguchi and his staff team up to bring a full featured rev of one of the best 2D freeware shmups, 'nuff said

    4.Twelve Love the art style.

    5.Field Commander I didn't know about this one! A 3rd person arcade/strategic online war-tech game, nice.

This thread has seriously been way more informative than IGNPSP's front page. They need to do a feature like this in between updating with one new story every few days.

Anyways, not a GTA fan and I deifnitely am anticipating Rockman Rockman/Megaman Powered more than MM X (which should have an edit mode too IMHO) Now if only Sony had this line up for the next two months.

It will probably play like CyberSled on the PS1 (speaking of which, CyberSled is about due for an update). The fun factor of PSP Katamari smells dubious. Bring on the DS version!

Yep, Katamari demonstrates it was a mistake for Sony not to include an extra analog. Touch screen would make more sense for Katamari. Using the stylus to play it might take some getting used to 'tho of course.

Though I would imagine GnG, Katamari, SMT, EEE, Suiko 1+2, Monster Hunter, and Harvest Moon are pretty much guaranteed to make it, and I think the remaining ones have a pretty good chance, considering Sony would probably like whatever titles it can get right now.
This news makes me a bit more alright with my PSP purchase. Hell, if the price point for most of these was $30, I'd probably go portable berzerk in the coming months, with both the PSP and the DS.

  10. Nice, I hadnt seen a lot of these games. The PSP may become worthy of purchase this time next year if they keep this up. The lack of games was the only thing that kept me from buying a friends' PSP the other week. I just knew if I bought it, it would be collecting dust on my desk for a while...
