Im really interested in this but it hasnt shipped in the us yet![]()
Didn't see any other threads for this and I just got the Nintendo Gamecube (PAL) version through the door.
For a crossplatform title it performs pretty well on the cube; nice graphics, no slowdown and a steady framerate, all this: even though there is a mass of characters on screen at once.
Audio and music is above average, with neat voice-acting.
It also support 60hz in PAL, which is a deciding factor in all game purchases I make. As a small plus, the box also sports a nifty Sega-logo.
The gameplay is pretty much 'hack n' slash' in a historical/mythological Roman/Spartan setting. I find this quite refreshing as I'm bored of the hack'n'slash tendency to unfold in fantasy-genre settings. (I seriously hope dragons or elves won't show up later in the game and prove me wrong though).
The only downside so far is that you have to kill the righteous and honorable Roman soldiers.

Ah, PAL exclusive. Hmm mmm, tasty! I guess this thread will pick up again around US launch then.

Which should be next week apparently.
After more gametime I do feel slightly annoyed with the loading times, its tolerable, but still... It's still good hack'n' slash action, I don't feel ashamed to admit i like this. The character upgrade systems is *very* simple.
In the first chapter the romans build a giant mechanical robot to invade your city. Sadly I also spotted a skeletal dragon in the attract movie, but I hope it's something from Greek Mythology.

oh btw; I returned this game. Not worth full price.
