You can get a Roady2 for like $40-$50, and listen at home and in the car. It's not really the luxury item it used to be.

Not true. The XM2Go products are the only ones that get a live signal when walking around (like a walkman), and it's true that they don't work as well indoors as out without an external antenna, but they work. And for any other unit, or when docked in a home station or whatever, you have a little antenna that looks like a tiny 3 inch speaker, that you put in the vicinity of a window, and the reception is perfect.

lol, that would be one of Sterns trademark "breaks".

  3. I wonder what this format flip will mean for the Lazlow show on Sunday nights. It's a talk show, so maybe they'll get it to a better time slot or something.

  4. The only station worth a damn in MN is Drive 105. Plays lots of old punk and newer alt rock. Local stuff too. Other than that, there's the current and public radio.
You don't have to be smart; you don't have to know the facts, you just have to be confident.

  5. It is pretty gay for Krock to basically shut down after Stern leaves. He's been there for so long they don't know what to do without him.

Yeah, like around 4pm on 202.

It's WDHA. It's basically what KRock tried to copy when they switched to classic/modern rock from alt rock. No PLJ suckassness here. They're based out of Cedar Knolls, so it's not a NYC station, but the reception actually gets worse closer to NYC.

  8. Hmm...that plan that the Pests have for Howard Stern is probably going to happen very soon then. Wonder if they'll do it before he loses a big chunk of his syndication.

  9. I couldn't care less about music on the radio, I really just listen for Howard Stern, Phil Hendrie, and baseball. I haven't looked into it yet, how much would it cost roughly to have a little portable sirius radio that worked indoors and a subscription that let me get Stern?

Never in a million years would they give the afternoon drive slot away. Opie flipped because they gave Ron and Fez a replay at west coast afternoon drive time, and made them push the replay back to midnight. They're talking about giving him a Saturday/Sunday shift, which would be rockin', but I think he has to get fired from K-Rock first.
