So actually reading some of the recent comics, it's not all that bad. The main thing that jumps out at me is I have trouble naturally following the speech bubbles. Although they're consistently placed from top to bottom, I tend to want to read them from the left to the right. The comic is dialogue heavy, but there doesn't seem to be enough room to fit it all comfortably. Most of the bubbles extend far out past the borders of the boxes, even! I don't think the four-panel structure fits with your content. You'll have characters go back and forth multiple times in the same panel.
Which leads to the next point, the actual dialogue. It seems you try to go out of your way to use "silly" phrases, but it just tends to make the speech awkward and unnatural. The "smart" words don't come off as smart, just contrived.
As for the artwork, funny that seems to be one of the areas you (Andrew) want to practice on, but I don't think it is as important here. A comic in this format is about the joke firstly, and the visuals are just icing. Looking at your newspaper's funnies, the artists have unique styles, but the extent of how good the art is I'd rate by how unobtrusively annoying it is than how aesthetically pleasing it is. So I don't think it's so much something to fret over here, just work to make sure the images aren't detracting from the comic.
By the way, comic sucks, blah blah blah go back to keenspace.

We're always going to push ourselves to get better, but making money isn't a goal we aspire to. If we ended up having a large audience and there was a demand for merch would I design some? Yes. But I'm not actively seeking methods to deliver these fine materials to our potential consumers in the mean time.

Some people wouldn't agree with that.
CTRL ALT DEL = makes lots and lots of money (He lives off it) and most people think it sucks.
See, this, this right here, this is what's wrong.
How is that wrong? If he can make money, why shouldn't he. It just proves that there is an audience for everything.
I think a lot of effort is being put into this, and that's cool...
...but I don't find any of these funny in the least ;/
I feel like FirstBlood over here.Originally Posted by jonas
