You could infer that he thinks theists are mutaphobic.

Ironically, so is the enemy- though few seem to care about that.

On topic: are there any rules in Bar Associations about proper conduct? It seems odd that he still has a job even after that whole Janet Reno thing years ago.

I'm not insecure at all. His post came off as sounding like "religion = lack of intelligence." There is, of course, a level of truth to that. People, before science really existed, explained away certain aspect of life as being the work of a God, Goddess, or whatnot. As we learn more about life, we come to understand why certain things work the way that they do, and that the aren't the work of some invisible entity.

That said, belief in God is not a sign of lack of intelligence, nor something that should "thankfully" go away.

As much as I dislike overly-zealous religion folk who think their mission is to push their beliefs upon others, or ignore the fact that they don't need somebody else to tell them how to connect to God, I also dislike smug, smarmy atheists who enjoy mocking those who do believe in God, or have faith in general. Both sides are just as bad.

Believe whatever you want, just don't parade around the dogma.

Don't tell me what not to do when I'm not doing it in the first place.

Thanks to this interview we might finally have a solution to ending this entire Jack Thompson ordeal

Only problem is we need to have someone wig out and kill a bunch of Japanese, then blame Jack for inciting histeria with his comments about Pearl Harbor, then have the parents sue him for being the catalyst

No way. Ninjas come from Japan. No one can kill a ninja.

I remember reading in Steve Kent's Ultimate History of Videogames that anti-game activists claimed that ninjas in videogames made kids racist against Japanese. This insanity was led by Ronnie Lamm- who had no idea that said games were usually made in Japan.

I was speaking entirely in the Comtean context of society's intellectual evolution from the supernatural to the metaphysical to the scientific as a natural progression (evolution) that some people refuse to accept. Take whatever you want from that.

Come to think of it next time my Japanese wife gets her monthly visitor, i might just flip out and take this opportunity myself to help out the gaming community
