the second you understand the control scheme and start using the special moves to chain together combos and throws.

lol, didn't even think it had throws.

  3. im surprised you think the original buffy was bad, i really enjoyed it, its probably one of the best 3d brawlers out there right now..not that its hard to do that, i am a big buffy fanboy but i thought it was well done.

that kind of explains a lot, once you get the control scheme its really well done.

Then you move on to the next area with some really sloppy controls. I swear, it feels like Buffy is trying to walk on broken ankles.
It was massively overrated generi-junk that people fawned over because of the theme.

This logic also applies to the TV show.

  5. actually no. the title itself was an INSANELY solid 3rd person action beatemup. period.

i hate the show and the premise the game was built on, but that wont deter me from playing a good game nonetheless. this shit has a great(for when it was released) engine, far above average level layouts(especially for being a licensed property), and an intuitive attack/combo engine that anyone with a splinter of skill can work with(while leaving enough open for people like myself to find out far more crazy and advanced stuff).

the only thing it really needed was a 2 player mode, and the ability to get buffy in something other than pants. lol

  6. Finch is currently my favorite poster.

  7. I played The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay from start to finish today. It was good and all, but..why?

  8. I played a bunch of Code Age Commanders and the entire time I kept asking myself, "Why in God's name am I still playing this when I have actual good games to play?" I think the whole not having a job for a while made me go a little loopy, as I was starting to hunt down games to pirate based solely on how terrible I thought they'd be. HAY THERE CRITICAL VELOCITY

Have you played the rest of the series? You'll probably be pretty lost otherwise.

On a related note, Kingdom Hearts is a pretty bad game. I tried continuing my pitiable 4 hour save file, finished up Tarzan's world, and about twenty minutes later I realized I never want to play the game again.

I stopped playing at almost the exact same point.
