Thread: Exit

  1. Whoah, I didn't realize this was already out. GameSpot gave it an 8.0.

by H.E.R.O. are you speaking of the old Atari 2600 game? i spent so much fucking time on that one.

  3. Looks like out of the "big three" IGN is the lone desenter. 6.8 Review says poor controls and an awkward map/interface make it hard to plan ahead.

Downloadable content though enhances replay value greatly for those that buy it.

I'm still gonna keep my eye on it.

    Daxter isn't out yet.

  5. i've been keepin' and eye on this one, glad it got great reviews. i'll call my local import store today and pick it up if it's available.

btw, i have more faith in GS reviews than IGN. usually IGN is too generouse on the scres, so im surprised to see IGN give it a lower score than GS.

    Yes?

  7. Well I picked this up today, and though I'm only a few levels in, this game is shit hot. Visually, this is one of the most stylish looking games I have ever seen, it just looks unbelievable on the PSP's screen, in motion. And what beautiful, fluid motion that is -- the animation is just insane. It's a gorgeous game. The audio is right there with the visuals, with some very, very slick, jazzy stuff mixed with some oldschool, electronic flair.

I touch on the gameplay last, not because it is good or bad, but simply because it's unfair to really give a judgement after only the first few levels. But with that said; the gameplay seems really solid thus far. Control seems spot on; there is a real weighty-ness to Mr. Esc, and just the overall feel and pace of the game is fantastic.

    Go buy it, fags.
Buy Yakuza and Oblivion. Help yourself, help TNL.

  8. Hmmm. Andy and Exit for the win, then.

  9. I've played through the first 30 levels, and it's good. It gets really good once the difficulty picks up. Andy is right about the visuals. This is one awesome looking game.

  10. another +1 from here... graphical style is fantastic and, despite slightly sluggish controls, the game is fantastic. Best on PSP? possibly.

Plays out something like Lost Vikings, Prince of Persia, and Donkey Kong 94 as mentioned elsewhere. Some fantastic music as well in my opinion.

The IGN review does say something about the levels which i was kind of falling into in the early stages - that it felt like trial and error too much, but the idea is you use the free look to examine the locale to figure out what to do.

    Anyways, it`s definitely highly recommended.
